Tatra Mountains in Fog
krajobraz
October mornings in the Tatras are the most beautiful time of year for me. I head out before dawn, when the valleys are still filled with fog and the peaks slowly begin to catch the first rays of sunlight.
These photographs were taken over three consecutive autumns – each time in the same place, but always different.
First Light
An hour before sunrise. Fog still sits in the valley, peaks just beginning to turn pink.
Sea of Clouds
View from Kasprowy Wierch into the fog-filled valley. One of those moments you cannot plan.
Above the Fog
When clouds drop below 1500 m, a completely different world begins.
October
Golden autumn in the Tatras lasts only a few days. You have to be in the right place at the right time.
